This design takes me right back to the seventies. My sister and I shared a room together and our bedroom decor colors were orange and yellow. This granny square design was found all over the room in those colors. A major contribution from our Grandmother. If only I had those items now.

I actually made this retro granny square pillow but mine did not turn out as this one did. I am not good with measurements and made the squares too large. Needless to say, the squares were way too big for the pillow form so instead of one retro granny square pillow, I got two regular granny square pillows. Still love them and my son noticed them in the quest room. Cudos to me.

This is actually a very ingenious idea of putting together granny squares. I would have never thought of that. I approve of the Caron Soft yarn that is used because it happens to continue to be one of my favorite lighter weight cushy, drapey yarns to work with for apparel. This "Retro Granny Square" pillow cover is sized to fit a 12" square pillow. Just so cute!
