"This easy to crochet hat pattern is worked in a continuous spiral. The beautiful texture created by the enlarged band adds a great design element perfectly suited for both men and women. You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern – just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different. Pattern Notes: This project is worked in continuous rounds. You do not need to slip stitch to join, or ch 3 at the beginning of any of the rounds; instead mark the first stitch with a stitch marker and just keep crocheting around the hat for each round. This hat is basically seamless. The length of this hat is to the base of the earlobe, but I have also provided instructions at the end of each size to make the hat shorter. If you are having trouble maintaining your gauge on the post stitch rounds please change your hook to the next size up 6 mm (J) to help you relax your gauge for the post stitch rounds only."
