Panama Jack Crochet Hat
The Panama Jack Crochet Hat is a great crochet pattern to make for summer. This free sun hat pattern actually includes two different patterns-- a teen/adult size hat that's made with worsted weight yarn, as well as a toddler/child size that's made using crochet thread. Both crochet hats are very similar to each other, but have subtle differences. Both feature crochet flowers, which add the perfect feminine touch to this crocheted sun hat. The Panama Jack Crochet Hat is a must-have for all of your summertime trips to the beach this summer!

This is NOT a Panama hat. It is a cloche. Please change this. I am looking for a REAL Panama hat pattern.

Although these are certainly cute hats, theyre not exactly what comes to mind when I think of a Panama hat. I have that exact color of the Unforgetable yarn, so Im all set to go. And I LOVE that Totally Tropical flower pattern, too. In addition to using it on the hat, it would make a lovely floral comb and lei.

The name caught my eye. The designer called this hat the Unforgettable Panama Hat. I learned the hard way several years ago that businesses dont like their named used on unauthorized items. Since this is a free pattern and there is no money being made on the item with their name, I guess they would be ok with that? This is a very beautiful hat and the pattern was very easy to follow. Love the flower embellishments.

I really like this Panama Jack Crochet Hat. The open air stitch pattern is great for hot days, and the brim is large enough to help keep the sun off my face. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. I think I'll make it with the self stripping yarn, and add only one flower. Thank you for this free pattern.
