Minecraft-Inspired Creeper Crochet Hat

Notes-The chain 2 at the beginning of a new round does not count as a stitch

-Join to the first DC of the round in the hat portion, NOT to the ch 2.

-To make your hat bigger, after round 6 Increase the next round as follows:
Round 8: 2 DC in first stitch, DC in next 9, repeat around, join, ch 2 (66 DC)
Round 9: 2 DC in first stitch, DC in next 10, repeat around, join, ch 2 (72 DC)
Round 10-16: DC in each st, join, ch 2.

My sons and nephew love Minecraft! I am sure my oldest and my nephew would love a hat like this, and wear it daily! I like that there are instructions on how to make the hat bigger if you need to. You can also google Minecraft images to see how to make the other blocks and use different colored yarn to make the recipients favorite.

I have several gamer grandsons who would love to have this hat. I made everyone hats for Christmas two years ago, so I guess its about time for some new ones! This hat is very easy to work up, and if you need additional help, the designer has provided a very nice instructional video. Ill have to check out her other gamer inspired designs.

My 7 year old grandson adores mine craft. Do you know how many grandma points I will gain if I make this for him? And after reading the directions, I can see it will be very easy to do. I should be able to do it in a day or two. It's going to be a gift for New Years so I better get busy.
