I love hats, too, and this Simple Crochet Sun Hat is the style I wanna wear during the hot summer months as the brim will cover a significant amount of my face. UV rays are dangerous during the hottest season of the year and we need to be protected from it. The hat will also protect us from squinting which could cause lines and wrinkles around the eyes. This hat can be done in other colors that you fancy.

I love summer sun hats and this Simple Crochet Sun Hat pattern is a must make! I read the pattern and it is so easy to follow and understand. I have many cotton yarn hats and the brim always came out floppy, this pattern calls for a coated cotton yarn. I'm not sure I have ever seen a coated cotton. Can someone direct me to what brand to buy? I'm thinking that using raffia yarn would be itchy. I'm not sure?? I saved this one and hope to get answers soon, I would like to try this one. Thank you for sharing this free crochet pattern.
