Baja Blanket Sweater
"While the stunning color work in this sweater appears complicated, it couldn’t be any easier! By using four colors of yarn and making simple color changes, this beautiful sweater works up very easily. The moss stitch draws the eyes to the individual stitches which look very similar to intricate knit stitches. The boho feel and incredible color detail ensure that this piece will be noticed on the beach, out on the town or wherever your travels take you."

This baja blanket sweater is really stylish. I find it almost unbelievable that you can get a substantial piece of outer wear by crocheting a rectangle and joining to make sleeves. To me, it is mind blowing. This moss stitch shines through with the color changes through the piece. Love this free pattern.

Time to learn a new crochet stitch. I have yet to use the moss stitch but I have to say it does offer texture to the project. Now I love to have an articular with a lot of colors in it but I really do not like to change colors in a project. I am guessing you will not get that beautiful moss stitch to really show up without changing the colors though.

Appropriate for the cold weather. Will give enough cover on cold fall weather. Will also look great in dark solids or earth colors.

Awesome blanket sweater. Serves a dual purpose of being a blanket and / or a sweater. Frees up your hands too so you can wear your blanket instead of having to carry it. Love the look and the colors used by the designer. Its so earthy and makes me want to go on a hike.

Why on earth haven't I thought of this idea? I love this Baja Blanket Sweater. The pattern is so easy to do with the moss stitch and it makes a beautiful blanket that you turn into a sweater. Wow is all I can say.. So have to make a few of these. So much better then cutting a whole in the center of the blanket and sewing around the opening. The written pattern is well written and easy to follow with the repeat row. There are also some nice pictures to help you when it comes time to sew it up. Saved this one for later and will be making it. Thank you so much for this free crochet pattern.
