Crochet Cap - Trees Go Round
"My grandmother was an avid knitter. She made so many things that I still own and treasure to this day. One of the things she made as an adorable jointed bear with a vest and Christmas tree lined hat. My daughter loves this bear and always steals it from my son’s room where it resides (she has her own but for some reason she likes this one more, must be the hat). She has taken to wearing the hat around the house. It inspired me to make my own version in crochet. Created with worsted weight yarn and a 5.5mm hook this adorable Christmas Cap is easy to work up."

This hat is definitely on my list for the upcoming Christmas season. What was surprising is that it starts at the top and works down rather than from the brim up as I expected. The green yarn is carried across the work like Tapestry so theres minimal cutting (and working in ends!) to deal with. The original pattern is only for a Childs size, but the designer has added a link for the Adult size.
