Now, I think this is really a cool pattern. It lends to the inner child. However, my significant other would never wear this. If you live in an area where it really gets cold, this would not be a bad addition to a winter wardrobe.

I am sure the little kids will love this item. Taking a simple hat and adding the beard/mustache is a cute idea. The directions here are for the beard/mustache that can be added to a favorite hat design. With the Velcro idea, this can move from hat to hat. I am saving this to the Ravelry and All Free Crochet folders.

I got a huge kick out of this pattern. I love the beard, I know my son would get a kick out of it. He lives in the north and could probably use it to keep his face warm when shovelling snow. jcg1224

I made Beardhats for all the males in my family for Christmas and they were a big hit. My 35 year old nephew kept his hat on all day and requested hats for his friends!

This is a little confusing or I have a mistake ( which would :)never be possible, lol) Like Row 8 dose not line up where " sl st loosely in next 3 sts, sc in next 10 sts, sl st loosely in next 3 sts," in the center. But It is fun to sow. If you can, help. Thanks K
