Any baby will be proud to be wrapped up in a crochet granny square baby blanket such as this. Shucks, if it were just a little larger this would be my blanket. The colors are beautiful, almost a piece of art itself. I adore granny squares.

Are granny squares amazing or what? Look at all of the beautiful colors on this cheerful granny square baby blanket. This is almost a piece of artwork. Any baby would be more than thrilled to keep the chill at bay with this blanket or as a play mat. This is a great baby shower gift.

I have a thing for the vintage and classic granny square, used for anything and everything under the sun! Boy, the colors in this baby blanket are so modern and different than boring pink or blue. Her method of joining the squares is a little intimidating for me, but okay. Every crocheter has his or her own way of doing it. I'll stick to my basic method, at least for now. I love the picot trim, though!
