Caterpillar Baby Cocoon Set
"This Hungry Caterpillar themed Hat and Cocoon set is newborn sized. The beanie and cocoon are easy to make and can be used until about 3 months of age. It uses an I and F hook and is worked up in easy-care worsted weight acrylic yarn. I have a video tutorial linked in case you prefer to view it that way. But this is so fun for a baby shower or to make for a little one you are expecting. Great for newborn photography prop, too!"

My sons enjoyed the Hungry Caterpillar book when they were younger. As an elementary school teacher I know the importance of visual aids. Not that a newborn will need visual aids but this would be a great gift for baby with a copy of the children's book. They may become an item to pass down.

I almost missed the directions when I clicked the link provided on this page. Sometimes because I am so anxious I don't take the time to read. I am really bad about that. The designer was gracious enough to also include a video that showed how to make it project from beginning to end. This is going to be a easy project indeed.

This is a great pattern. First of all its cute as can be. Secondly, it's extremely easy. That's due to it being so well written. You can follow along with no trouble at all. And lastly, once you have the basic body learned, you can make it into any character you wish.
