Watermelon Coin Purse
If you're into crocheting patterns for children then this Watermelon Coin Purse should be the next project you work on. Tiny crochet bag patterns like this are so easy to make. Make that little girl her very first purse to carry all her change in. The black buttons are the perfect material to use for the seeds, but you can also use sequins.

This is just precious and I know its going to be a hit at our summer craft fair later this year. I really like how she preps the zipper before working the rest of the purse. Ive never heard of sharp crochet hooks, but As soon as I finish writing this, Im headed straight to that linked site! Ive worked several other projects where this little device would have come in so handy!

love the patterns from Repeat Crafter Me, they are always easy to follow and have fab pictures so you have a good idea of the finished product. The only difficult section of this is that you start by crocheting directly through the zipper which is not the easiest thing that I have done, I used a air invisible fabric marker pen to mark my stitches and then made holes in the zipper using a fine crochet hook. However you could still make it by crocheting the purse and then sewing the zipper in if preferred. This would make a fab gift for friends and family.
