Turkey Granny Square
"Hi everyone! Since we’re in the middle of the holidays season, my daughter brought to my attention the fact that we have never made a project in celebration of Thanksgiving Day before. I was intrigued by the idea, so I decided to add another animal granny square to my growing collection by crocheting a granny square that has the face of the most renowned icon of this occasion: a turkey. I started with the same base that I’ve been using for most of my collection, then I did a quick research on the most notable features of a turkey face that can be easily translated into crochet-able parts. Finally, I came up with this cartoony turkey face granny square, with easy to make features and cute colorful tail feathers peaking from behind the face. This granny square can be a unit for a blanket, a runner or a center square for a sweater. Have fun making this fine turkey, and I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving Day."
