"This ombré baby blanket has a lovely texture, it is easy to crochet and it works up very quickly. In a short time you'll complete a beautiful handmade gift that will be treasured forever. A great thing about this ombré blanket is that you don’t need to change colors, the yarn makes all the colorwork for you. For this blanket were used 650g (or 2 ⅓ balls) of Red Heart Super Saver Ombre yarn in colorway “Deep Teal”. The knit-like crochet border finishes the blanket beautifully."

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

The way the colors flow on this ombr baby blanket gives it the illusion of texture alone. Thanks for the hint on how to get the colors to match up. I am sure that will be a handy tip in the long run. The edging really gives the blanket a finished look. I like the teal used her but I can't wait to see the other color selections.

Ombre yarn is truely a crocheter's dream come true. The ability to have these magnificent colors in a project without all of the yarn changes is wonderful. Here is another easy project that will make a statement piece. Any recipient of this would be more than happy to receive it.

The stitch used to create the border around "Fabian's Ombre Baby Blanket" is so cool! Such a cool effect is created. There directions on how to do it, plus a link to Moogly's tutorial. I am surprised to hear that the Red Heart Super Saver ombre yarn is not scratchy at all. They must have changed how they make it!
