I love swirls! They are so much fun and swirls make me feel so happy. Very clever to incorporate them into a crocheted afghan. Swirls are so popular in other arts and crafts why not afghans? I would make a lap blanket with this Easy Modern Rose Afghan pattern. Love, love, love.

Moogly does it again. By the way, Moogly is one of my favorites. I love this modern rose afghan. I even took the time to make a square just to see the level of difficulty. It was not hard to make a square but at this time, I just do not need another afghan pattern but I did save it to my folder. Thanks.

I saw this and immediately wanted to know how did the designer manage to do this? When I saw this was a Moogly Blog project, I wasnt the least surprised. I can always count on maximum creativity from Tamara! The instructions might be a little intimidating, but if you look carefully in the Notes section, theres a link to a video tutorial (right and left handed) specifically for this project. Dont forget the free download either.

Another masterpiece from Moogly. This is one design that you needs a lot of attention because you just don't finish the base pattern but you need to crochet the spiral design in different colors. You can play with colors here, combinations of colors that you fancy. you may use solid colors for the spirals in vibrant, pastels, or earth colors. The possibilities are endless.

Need to have, have to have this! Moogly's designs are right up my alley- so many of them speak to me, to my artful sensibilities. The fact that we can make this blanket in just about any size we need is a bonus. I am not sure why they are called flowers. They look like spirals to me, and that's okay! Great color combination with the white as the base /contrast color and the spirals sort of pop out and up from the blanket.

OMG! I just adore this modern rose pattern afghan. And the directions explain how to make this in multiple sizes. So do I make one for the guest queen bed or for my king size bed. Shucks! why don't I just crochet two. I am just so excited about this design. Now I have to select colors.

Oh my WORD, what a beeYOOtiful design! Unfortunately my pic does not want to load but I have just used it for a cushion cover and it is stunning. The other good news is that it is not at all difficult to crochet and, once made, it is very eye catching indeed as can be seen from the pattern pics.

Gorgeous rose afghan. Reminds me so much of the corded bedspreads everyone used to use many years ago. I love the way the spirals pop out of the afghan, giving it kind of a 3-D look. I think this would work really well if enlarged to the proper size and used as a bedspread on a girls bed. The only down side is that all the squares have to be sewn together after they are made. I sure wish there were a quicker and easier way to do that.
