Simple Swirl
"I’m very excited about the possibilities for my latest creation, the simple swirl. By itself, it’s perfect as a “modern” embellishment for hats, handbags, headbands, even slippers. But when you take it one step further and add a contrast round, it becomes a unique motif with limitless possibilities. I see an afghan and a throw pillow in my future! The great thing about this pattern is that it works up in one solid piece (the swirl, that is). It’s quick, It’s easy, AND there’s a video tutorial. Let’s get started shall we?"

This is an interesting design but Im also puzzled about what exactly to do with it. I can see using it as an appliqu by itself, or possibly turning it into a snail by adding some additional features. Mounted on the square background, it would make an interesting modern geometric brooch. It would be a nice little scrapbuster, too, since each motif and square dont require much yarn.
