Chasing Chevrons Necklace

"This necklace is a quick pattern, you can get it done in one evening and then let your two chevrons dry before assembling the whole thing the next day. This design makes a fun and simple gift and it’s a great option for Summer crochet items. It’s also a great refresher, like a palette cleanser when you’ve got a few different and large projects on your hook and you want something small and quick you can finish."

This is a quick pattern, you can get it done in one evening and then let dry before assembling the whole thing. This design makes a fun and quick gift and its a great option for summer crochet items. Its cute and simple. Isnt it amazing at all of the ideas there are to help you use up you stash of yarns?

I dont make that much crochet jewelry, so Im sending this pattern straight to my niece who has her own hand crafted jewelry shop on Etsy. By sheer coincidence, she looks remarkably like the photo of the designer, complete with the cropped pink hair. Our Hannah is equally talented, and I cant wait to see what she does with this idea.

I think I would like to make this but I'm not sure what kind of fabric stiffener to use. I think my grandma used ot use a flour paste kind of deal but there is surely something more modern than that. Does anyone have suggestions for me?

Actually, laundry starch was the preferred method of stiffening back in the day. It came powdered, and you mixed it with water. Much stiffer than the spray stuff we have today.

This is very cute and so easy to do. I agree with the designer. It's nice to make a quick easy project after coming off if a big one like an afghan. And I have an idea. Why not add a pretty bead or Crystal dagger bead to the bottom chevrons point?

I like the idea of the bead!

Great idea and a unique way to make it your own. )

I love chevrons, too! I see how easy it can be to make a necklace like this for myself. I think it would look great with one of my tropical print maxi dresses I have in my closet. THe chevron will provide a modern touch. This seems so easy to make, I could make more than one. I am thinking a hot pink and a magenta. -)
