"The Dragon Scale Clutch uses crocodile stitches and a Romanian Cord to make a classy little accessory for a night on the town. It showcases self-striping yarn, like Super Saver Stripes or Super Saver Ombres in a lovely way. This can also be used as a pencil pouch. A video tutorial is available for the Romanian Cord (link in the pattern) and a photo tutorial is available for the crocodile stitch (also linked in the pattern)."
Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook, H/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge9 dc and 6 rows of hdc/dc pattern = 2” x 2” square
Finished SizeFinished pouch is 8 inches wide x 5 inches tall.

This would be a fun project for any budding Mother of Dragons. It uses the Crocodile Stitch of course, and if youve never worked one, if you can work a Shell, you can work this one. This stitch is a notorious Yarn Hog, but since this is such a small project, that really shouldnt be an issue. Ive seen some Red Heart Boutique yarns that would be perfect for this!
