As a retired school teacher I can honestly say that this is one of the cutest pencils that I have ever seen. I know that the little first and second graders would have loved to have these to play with and could have easily been used as incentives when needed. I think these are worth the price of admission.

School started just this past Monday here in my little sleepy town. I only know that because I saw a lot of posts on Facebook about kids going back to school. When I saw this post, it reminded me of how much I miss being the Mom to little children as both my sons are both college grads. Enjoy them while you can.

Does this crochet pencil serve any purpose like being a pencil hold or keychain or is it just strictly for decoration? If its just for decorational purposes then I am sure the teachers would like a few of these cuties for their rooms if not then they probably need to stay home so they dont get taken away by a teacher for being too much of an attention getter.

These are awesome! The pattern is so easy to read, and I am sure they work up very quickly! You could make them in any color you want! These would be a great way to use up some of the scraps everyone has laying around after a big project. They would also make great gifts for teachers, for Christmas or end of the year gifts!
