Moss Stitch Bookmark
"I hear a lot that people are looking for quick, easy projects to teach young people how to crochet. Obviously when you're first starting out, blankets and wearables are intimidating, and you're usually not ready for those right off the bat. One of the easiest projects for a beginner is a bookmark. This Crochet Moss Stitch Bookmark is easy enough for the beginner, and quick enough that you'll be able to have a tangible project completed in a fairly short time. Plus, a bookmark is pretty darn useful! Includes a link to a Moss Stitch tutorial, and photo tutorial on how to make and attach the tassel."
