Granny Stitch Sun Hat
Protect your baby's face from the sun with this Granny Stitch Sun Hat. Pink and white yarn makes this crochet pattern perfect for baby girls, but you're welcome to change the colors to make this hat a little more masculine for baby boys. This crochet hat works up quickly and is made using the granny stitch. It's written to fit babies about 3-6 months old. Worsted weight yarn is used for this cute crochet hat.

Oh this hat is so sweet. The perfect little sunhat for an infant, baby, or toddler to wear for a day in the sun whether at the beach or at the park to keep the sun off their delicate skin. I looked over the pattern and it looks very simple and easy and looks like it would work up very quickly.

I've got to make this for our one year old granddaughter. This will be so cute for her for an Easter hat when she goes on the family egg hunt. It will also be good protection from the sun. I've pinned this one so I can have it for future gift giving too. It can certainly be made in different sizes.

This is the sweetest hat, and I love all the different variations the designer has on her site. Its beyond adorable in the pink and white for girls, but you could still do a baby boys version by changing the colors and reducing the number of increases in the brim. I downloaded the pattern and am putting this project immediately into my Work In Progress bag. Lots of grandbabies will be getting these.

What adjustments would I need to make to have this fit a 6 year old?!?

The pattern shows for 3-6 months. What adjustments should I make to fit newborns? Haven't made it yet, but can't wait for the newborn adjustments to try it.
