This will be a great gardening hat! I love this pattern for the Colorful Spring Hat. It is well written and so easy to understand and follow. I like that there are links to crochet the roses and leaves. A great way to keep the sun off your face without over heating the head. I'm looking forward to making and wearing this one. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet hat pattern.

Spring has sprung and what a beautiful hat to wear. Directions are provided so that the colorful spring hat can be made for both a toddler as well as an adult. I wish I did have a little one to make this for, but I know I will be stylish wearing this once I complete the project.

I live in North Carolina and hats are pretty fashionable. I see women wearing them when out at the beach or walking along the local main streets shopping. Most of the hats I see are the store bought variety but this one will be unique in more ways than one. Thanks for the free pattern.

Adorable little Spring hat with perfect timing for the Easter holiday that is almost here. Was a little disappointed when I first read that this cute hat was for toddlers, then I went to the bloggers site and see that she was kind enough to have updated the problems and also includes sizes for adults now. Thank you. I really want one for myself.

I love this hat! And I loved it even more when I went to the designers page and found the green and white version. The pattern at the site is for toddlers, but there is a link at the bottom of the page for the adult size. The accompanying video is long and detailed enough to serve as a CAL. You may not need to watch the entire thing, but keep it handy while you work the first few rounds of shells.

I absolutely love this pattern. I see it in more ways then the one shown. This is great for Spring and Easter time. But think what it would look like in white with a red ribbon around it and red flowers for the Christmas holidays! I think it would be great. Thanks for an easy pattern.

No Pattern I want is available for download seems the website is having issues

I can't get the link to open. Anyone else having this problem?

I 'm trying to locate the adult size pattern for the colorful spring hat.

I see that she has corrected the pattern since my post and looking closer at what I wrote, I made an error as well (Anyplace I wrote sc should be 1dc, sigh).

I love this hat. I am fairly new to crocheting...have only done a few afghans so far. Would love to make this in adult size but really have no idea how to increase pattern for that. Any help would be so appreciated. I have the perfect spring dress this would go with. Thank you.

Hi! I'm also fairly new to crocheting and am also interested in doing this pattern in adult size. Perhaps someone can offer some specific advice, but here is a tutorial I found here on AllFreeCrochet.com that might help us: How to increase & decrease evenly across a row. http://www.allfreecrochet.com/Tutorials/How-to-Increase-Decrease-Evenly-Across-a-Row/ct/1 Best wishes!

There instructions contain an error which might be adding to confusion. The way I read it, the number of stitches will not come out to what is indicated. This is what I did: Rows 1 & 2 as written. Continue increasing each row by 12 stitches as follows - Row 3: Ch 2, skip 1st sp, *2dc in next sp, sc in next two spaces. Repeat from * around. Last sc will be placed into the sp previously left empty. Sl st into next dc to join round <36>. Continue increases by adding one sc to end of repeating pattern (Row 4: 2dc, sc in next three; Row 5: 2dc, sc in next four, etc.) It took me 7 rows to reach the recommended 6.5 inches for a women's hat. Continue on from step 5 as written. You will have more than 12 shells. The number will depend on how many rows added (I had 21). I hope this helps.

Wonderful!
