Sweet November Scarf/Shawl

This scarf/shawl pattern was inspired by the movie Sweet November. It's a fabulous pattern that can be warn as a scarf or a shawl. Double crochet is used and you can choose to add the fringe or not.

Crochet HookJ/10 or 6 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Ive never heard of that movie so now Im intrigued. However I have been known to pause a movie midstream to get a better look at something knitted or crocheted. Ruby Sues Nordic hat in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation comes to mind (I still havent found a pattern for that one). The designer for this scarf provides clear instructions and I love the tip about using a DVD case to wrap the fringe. Ill keep that in mind for other projects, too.

This is beautiful. I loved the movie and I love the scarf. I loved the movie decades ago when Sandy Dennis and Anthony Newley starred and for a long time I had a sweater named Max.

I found your pattern very easy to follow. It is one thing to make a project, and then yet another to try to put what you did into words. I am making one today. I think my daughters-in-law will love these. Great job! Thank you for sharing.

I simply love this pattern. So versatile to be a shawl and scarf. I have a sparkly black yarn that will look so classy for my boss for Christmas. If the other poster can make three this week, I can take a shot at just one...love it...

Such a pretty shaw that looks like it can be made fairly quickly. I need a shaw for an activity this weekend so will run to the store to get the yarn. Thanks for the pattern.
