Love those tropical colors. That combination is very popular here in my area. We dont have many scarfs being worn here yet, but I am sure there will be a few cooler days coming in January or February which is usually our coldest times. Instructions are easy to follow and well presented.

This is a pretty scarf thats worked flat and then seamed. Its worked lengthwise without any repeats, so the first thing I would do is swap out that first row and work a Foundation Half Double instead. It just makes life a lot easier when you dont have to struggle to keep a chain from twisting. That clever little buttoned cuff covers the seam, too.
