Doris Yocum Turner
Over the years, Doris Yocum Turner has tried many crafts. She taught herself to crochet using a Coats and Clark "how to" book, and crochet became her favorite method of expressing herself for over 55 years. In more recent years, Doris has concentrated her crafting time to the art of crochet.
Doris likes bright colors with shocking color combinations and functional items such as hats, scarves, shawls and especially afghans. She crochets rapidly, so large projects do not discourage her. Most of her patterns are adaptations of things she sees and likes, and her patterns are free. Doris also enjoys stash buster patterns and gifts 95% of the items she makes.

I see this problem has not yet been fixed. I have tried to access the pattern and have been directed to a blogspot called 'Ideal Delusions' with nothingon it. Has anyone been able to access this pattern?

Doris, your blog seems to be down. Just thought you'd like to know. ;) There seem to be several trying to reach your baby afghan pattern using the box stitch, as well as the stitch tutorial. But all that comes up on your blog is the header.

I love the pattern for the beautiful crochet pillow on Free Crochet but have not been able to copy it . I do get your headline but the pattern does not come up when i request it. There are some blank pages (peach colored) that follows with nothing on them. I would love to have the pillow pattern & make one for my home. it is one pretty pattern but so far I have no luck in getting it to come up, I have clicked the request but do not get the pattern. I have ask for help & surely do hope for it. thank you for putting that lovely pattern on & I do hope it will come up for me in the future. Thank you . What a nice thing you do. Evelyn

To Doris Yocum Turner: Many of us have been trying to get the Kitty Pocket Purse Pattern but when we get to the Ideal Delusions page it jumps all over and instructions are almost impossible to get. After over an hour I was able to get the pattern and have shared it with several other people hoping that is okay. There are several other patterns on that same site that I'd like to have but they too jump around or won't allow me to copy them. Can you double check the site and correct it? Your patterns are beautiful/cute and many of us would love to make them. I'd like to get the Aqua Mist pattern but can't. Thank you for reading my comment and hopefully corrections can be made.. Sue
