Clotilde Menendez
Clotilde Menendez started crocheting when she was 6 years old. She just came home one day from school with the mumps and since her busy mom wanted to keep her in bed, she bought a very bright, variegated yarn, a large hook and taught her how to crochet. Clotilde was "hooked" ever since! She went to art school but has made her living mostly working in publishing. She is an enthusiast of almost everything handmade. Clotilde loves color and is a devout Christian and is very involved in children's and women's charities. She can do many crafts, but would still like to learn many more.
Clotilde loves to do things for children's charities and to look at a gorgeous sunset. At home, she has 2 dogs and a cat. All of her pets have been rescued from the Pound. HHer favorite things to crochet are toys because they bring such joy to children and adults. She has coined the term “Funmigurumi” to describe her little critters because all of them are, in one way or another, funny characters and children just love them, so the term “stuck” and now they are known online as the “funny” Amigurumi or “Funmigurumi.”
