Looking at the supplied photo, I thought this project was worked in the round, but no, its a flat piece. That doesnt detract from the prettiness at all but it does tend to limit what you can do with it. The designer provides an embedded video tutorial on working the stitch, and while this isnt a tricky stitch, I always find it better to watch the video first.
