If youre looking for a thick, solid stitch for your project, the Modified Sedge is for you! Because this stitch makes such a thick fabric, its perfect for everything from washcloths to baby snuggle sacks. The smaller the hook, the tighter the fabric, but even using an I size hook always gives me great results. Theres a short embedded instructional video, but the stitch pattern is so repetitive, you probably wont need it.

I love the look of this stitch. It looks like a very dense and sturdy stitch and would be great for a heavier blanket, wrap, shawl or sweater for the bitter cold of the winter. So glad this stitch also has a video tutorial to help me along as I learn this new stitch. I am ready for the challenge.
