With this free crochet pattern and Aunt Lydia's Mercerized Cotton you can make a White Filet Lacy Top with Contrasting Bands. This is a nice top you can wear under a sweater to keep you nice and warm. All you need to know is double crochet and single crochet.

What a pretty top. It's very classy looking. A real tailored look. I read the directions and it's not really very difficult to do. I think it would look nice with black trim to wear with my black skirt or blacks slacks. And it's cotton so it will wash up nicely too.

What a lovely top! Isn't it cool how the little squares in the pattern are accentuated by the square neckline? It's the details like that and the little holes in the center of the little squares that run in a diagonal that add so much artistic appeal to this white filet lacy top with the contrasting bands. You could certainly switch the colors here to make the dominate one the blue and the trim in white. Oh, I need a larger size and I know there is a way to figure that out....with multiples on the foundation chain...but not sure how to do that. Anyone want to chime in and give a novice some help?
