Comfy Crochet Crop Top
An easy way to look great in hot weather is to wear a crop top, and this Comfy Crochet Crop Top will keep you calm, cool, and collected in this summer's heat. The combination of white and lilac makes this crop top perfect for reflecting the sun's rays instead of soaking them in like dark colors would. This crochet crop top is great to use for every day wear, as a lightweight crocheted bathing suit cover up, and as a comfortable way to stay cool at home without having to turn your air conditioner up to max power.

The free pattern for this top is for size large only so if you need a different size and arent good at increasing or decreasing a pattern then the designer has the other sizes available for purchase as a PDF download on her Etsy. This is so easy. Its basically just two rectangles sewn together.

This is a darling top! It looks so stylish and I'm sure it'll help me beat the heat. When it starts getting cooler I could even extend its wear by wearing a tank top or camisole under it. This will be my first article of clothing. It's nice that the larger sizes and the stitch charts are available. The color possibilities here are boundless too...so many colors!

Until I clicked into the pattern to read about the required materials and the directions, I was under the impression that this was a single color used in the top. I like the subtle change of color. The pattern sounds simple enough; I think I will attempt this one.

I would like to see the pattern for this one. I click on the link to see the pattern and I too get a page that says "pageok" in the left hand corner. I see that the AFC Editor Julia says she can see the pattern, but for some reason no one else can. Can you please post a URL for the pattern? Thanks..

Hi Cheryl, Hi there, I was able to open the page just fine on my end - maybe try refreshing the page, or disabling any browser add-ons? Also try updating your browsers - any of these could affect loading... but I'm definitely seeing the pattern with no problem when I click the above link. Refreshing the page helps sometimes. The only URL for the pattern is the one listed above under the Click here for crochet pattern link. Maybe try a different browser? Thanks, Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

I'm trying to access this patter as well and all I get is pageok. I even went to the bearcrafter.com website and it would not open up.

Another great pattern from Maz. It is simple enough to make up quickly while watching your favorite show. It is also simple enough to adjust length and width for different looks. It is a great top to throw over your swim suit or a tank top when you need to.

I loved this pattern as soon as I saw it even though I am not a fan of cropped tops for myself so, while making it, I simply added enough extra rows until I was happy with the length for me. The pattern is really easy so it crocheted up really quickly which is always great because my list of things to crochet just gets longer and longer, lol! My PC has an issue with uploading pics so it is not possible to show how it turned out but I am very happy with it.

Ah, Spring. The days are getting warmer and the clothes are getting smaller. At least here in SoFlo they are. This top would be great worn on a swimsuit as a cover up after or during a day at the beach. Slip it on with a pair of shorts and you are ready to hit the local restaurants or gift shops.

Hi ndorphinrush, I just double checked the pattern and the link works just fine - try refreshing the page if it doesn't load properly the first time. :) Thanks! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

This super cute crop top looks really easy, fast, and fun to make! I am excited to be able to make this for myself for the spring and summer. The addition of the pretty lilac color doesn't pick up too well on camera, but it is there. Of course, you can choose whatever accent color you'd like! The pattern is comprised of single, double, and chain stitches only. Very easy! It should work up pretty quickly.

This Crop Top pattern actually looks like something I could create and would be proud to wear. The fact that it constructed of two simple pieces and joined makes this even more appealing. Thank you for providing patterns in larger sizes. Until I read the pattern, I was unaware of the two color choices.

Its a pity the pictures dont do justice to this top. I didnt even realize there were two colours in this garment until I looked at the actual pattern. This is certainly a project a beginner could undertake with just two identical pieces for the back and front. This is sized large, but there are different sizes available for a small fee.
