At first glance, this dress looks like it is knit instead of crochet with the stitching that was used to make it. Its very hot and humid here in Florida almost year round and I think the simply soft tweed yarn would not be a good choice for my area. I am thinking that a cotton thread would be more area appropriate for this challenging pattern.

I can't decide if I want to put this on my to do list or not. I like the overall design, but if I make it I will definitly alter the neckline and collar.

Pat, were you able to finish this dress!? It looks great in the picture but I love hearing from the actual crocheters about how difficult or easy a pattern was to follow and complete. This would be a great special occasion dress and I love the cream color in the picture. Please post pictures if you've finished, Pat, I think a lot of us would love to see your finished project!

FYI the link, that someone else posted for this pattern's details at Caron, no longer exists. I even tried searching the Caron web site for this pattern and it does not exist in their "free projects". I also believe the type of yarn "Caron Simply Soft Tweed" has been discontinued.
