"This crochet pattern makes a light weight summer cocoon cardigan. It’s a super easy crochet pattern & it’s designed with the beginner in mind. Haven’t crocheted a garment before? No problem! This is super easy & quick too. This is my go to shrug for spring & summer, & it keeps my shoulders warm on colder days. The crochet Laxus Cocoon cardigan is sort of your typical bum hugging shrug. However it can seem a bit shorter, but it’s summer right? I don’t want you to get weighed down with lots & lots of fabric."

Crochet HookJ/10 or 6 mm hook

Yarn Weight(1) Super Fine (27-32 stitches to 4 inches)

Crochet GaugeMeasured in the combination of the pattern (treble crochet & single crochet).

1 stitch and 0,4 rows per cm // 10 stitches & 4 rows per 10 cm.

2.5 stitches and 1 rows per inch // 10 stitches & 4 rows per 4 inch.

Cocoons and shrugs are making a statement during the summer and winter months. I have seen them made in super chunky yarn to now this fingerling light weight yarn. When you think of a cocoon/shrug you don't think summer, but this one is totally doable.

This is a really beautiful cocoon. It looks so light and easy to wear. I see that the designer elected to use super fine yarn. That is probably what gives it the appearance of being so feminine. I like the white but I would love to have it in a vivid color for the summer.

Really, really, really, I think you should try this. All these kimono and cocoon wraps are so incredibly easy to make. Once you try it you will wonder why you waited so long to jump right in! I am so serious! This is created with triple crochets which we all know make a FAST project completetion!
