Cuddler Cocoon Sweater
"This adult sized crochet cardigan can be worked up in a weekend and is so very easy! It only using 1 RECTANGLE & some seaming + easy sleeves! It is a great project for those still new to the craft - very beginner friendly. It is the perfect size and weight - not too chunky but soft, plush, and warm. This pattern is offered in one size fits most (about average size S-XL womens). This is an easy level crochet pattern, and the techniques you will need to know are double crochet, Chain stitch, and slip stitch."

Some call it a shrug. Any square crochet piece can be fashioned into one. I made one from a square baby blanket that I get rave compliments on. One I fashioned from leftover yarn pieces.

This project is beginner friendly especially for any crocheter that has never made any item that is a wearable. As written, it has a slouchy fit, but sizing can be changed by tweaking the number of rows you make either by adding more for a larger sweater or making less for a smaller one.

Personally, I like my cocoon and kimono sweaters to give me a little more fabric for coverage, most notably across the front. Hey, it gets cold! I do have experience working with the Lion Brand Homespun yarn. Just be careful if you have to end up "frogging" it. The strands have a tendency to get caught up within itself and knot up. Pull lighty and slowly! Love the color scheme and the close fitting sleeve end to keep out the wind.

I love sweaters like this one. They are nice when I need a little something to take the chill off and still want to be cozy and comfortable. It looks like it will be something I can make up in an evening or two, and the yarn choice is nice and soft.

I've been looking to make a nice Cuddler Cocoon Sweater and this pattern is the right one for me. After reading the written pattern and all the comments, it looks like it will work out nicely. I like the idea of the added sleeves and I'll be making mine a little longer. Other than that I'm not going to make any changes to the pattern. Thank you so much for sharing this free cocoon sweater pattern.
