Airy Shrug
"The Airy Shrug is essentially just a crocheted rectangle. To make it into a garment, you have to assemble it to make the armholes. The shape of this crochet garment, is not your typical bum hugging crochet shrug, as it is shorter. But, it is a unique crocheted piece for your wardrobe. I’m tempted to also call it a shawl, because it would function in the same way as a summer shawl. So it’s not your typical bum hugging shrug, but rather a quite short one. An idea & shape, which I found that I fell in love with more & more as I made it. It makes so much sense when you just want to cover your shoulders & arms during summer, but not get weighed down with lots & lots of fabric."

I really this this airy shrug. It is different from some of the other crochet shrug patterns in that it has a little more length in the back. I like the two tone but I would prefer a solid color. Thanks for recommending the wool and the gang yarn. I plan on trying it.

Now this is just the kind of shrug you need during the spring and summer months. I have a few tops that could benefit with a "cover" of some kind coming from outside to the cooler temps inside like say the mail or the movies. I really like the length of the item down the arm.

Let's here it for a pattern that is made to fit a plus size gal! What a rare sighting. I only wish we could see that shrug from the front view, as worn over the top and jeans. I just wanted to get an idea of the coverage on the shoulders, or lack of coverage for that matter. Lovely shrug, different design for sure, and it might just be the one you need to go with that certain outfit. I am really liking her color combo for spring. For summer, I can see this done in a pool blue or a turquoise with white.
