KnittingTherapy201 6 I'm so glad to hear that this is a good tote for a beginner to make! I'm so tired of the cheap bags that I've gotten lately that literally just fall apart in my hands! I live a looooong ways from the beach here in the central US and so I'll be putting this tote to use for the farmer's market in our community. I need to give some thought to my color scheme...maybe several shades of green or one of those ombre yarns in a green!

the length of the handles shown here but I an curious, with time will the handle give and stretch just a bit?

This is not only a beautiful bag to carry to the beach, it could also double as a market tote. With the open weave, fruits and veggies will arrive safely home. As the best part, reusable.

Ive made these bag for a friend a couple of years back and she still tells me its one of her favorite bags for the summer, although I did make some modifications using only one color for the bag and one for the handle still was a fairly easy pattern to make, I did have some trouble with the handle but in the end it turn out great, it's really a good pattern for beginners.
