Is their a tutorial for this patter? I at the 2nd row and can't understand the direction. I'm more of a visual learner. Thanks to anyone who can help me. Leslie

Just finished the Anytime Market Bag. Used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (42.5 g/ 1.5 oz.) Country Stripes. Took 4 balls to finish with a bit left over. Love this pattern! After I read some of the comments it made more sense. The patterns is crochet starting at the front around to the back. Then the handles are added to the sides of the bag between the rows of single crochet that make up the front and back. There is no side seam to sew up, just a bit of sewing to attach the end of the handles. Took me about 3 evenings to finish this pattern. Lovely bag!! Can't wait to take it to the market and show it off! :)

Finally got the bag done - had a terrible time with the ends of the rows even though I like the basic stitch pattern of triangles & hexagons - turned out to be too big for a purse so, I added a few rows and made it into a beach bag.

I also found the directions confusing. It helped me to go to another source and look at tr2tog - once I got that in my head the pattern came better. I was unsure about the handle attachment. I think they mean 30 sc evenly spaced along one side and then chain for the handle - instead of turning, I am going to go ahead and attach to the other side, 30 sc, chain for the other handle and then attach - doing both handles and sides in a continous round (no sewing on of the handle end)

ok looking at the pattern on the picture once you get to the mesh part they are asking you to do a treble together stitch Or if you are from the Uk or Australia a Double treble together stitch you start by doing a normal treble Yarn over twice then put hook in space and yarn over again pull hook through and then yarn over and pull through two loops yarn over again and pull through next two hoops and leave the last two on the hook count the number of chain spaces you need to miss and then yarn over hook again twice put hook into the space in the chain and yarn over again Yarn over and pull through two loops and repeat until just three loops left on the hook and then yarn over and pull through all three at once You will have an upside V shape…Read More What the pattern hasn't said is about that second treble that is part of the whole together stitch process I hope that wasn't as confusing as the pattern is

I'm not impressed with your help line. If anyone crochets this cute little bag could you rewrite the pattern and be more explicit so that others can make it. Thx

am trying to make this bag for my boyfriends kind Aunt. As I got to the netting portion of the pattern I was a little confused. It says to chain five, (yarn over) twice, draw up a loop, (draw through two loops) twice, then draw through three loops. For some reason when I get to this part (Drawing up three) I only had two loops left. I love this bag and think it would be the perfect gift. Please advise! -Susan
