Susan Bates Crochet Hook: 6.5 mm [US K-10.5]
Yarn Needle

Shawl

Ch 65.
Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in the 5th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip next 5 ch, 4 dc in next ch, ** ch 2, dc in same ch; repeat from * across, ending at ** in last ch; turn.
Row 2: Ch 4, dc in first dc, ch 2, skip next 3 dc and ch-2 space, * (4 dc, ch 2, dc) all in next ch-2 space, ch 2**, skip next ch-2 space; repeat from * across, ending at **, 4 dc in space between last dc and beginning ch-4; turn.
Repeat Row 2 until 64" from the beginning or desired length. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

This Romantic Lacy Crochet Stole is another pretty lacy scarf. I like the stitches used here. This will also look pretty in another solid color that you fancy.

I am having trouble interpreting this pattern. What does, "ending at (star star) in last ch turn" mean? Since I do not understand how to end row 1, Row 2 is not working for me. Please advise. thanks, soapy123@comcast.net. For some reason I am unable to include the STAR STAR shown in the pattern

Hi Soapy, You're supposed to repeat the part that's within the stars - the single star is the start of the repeat and the double star marks the end. It basically wants you to end with a complete repeat, so you'll end with that ch2 before moving on to that 4dc. I hope that makes sense! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

Very pretty accessory for when you need a little something extra over your arms in warmer weather. I like to carry something like this with me when I am out shopping just in case the store is a little too chilly or when I go out to eat at a restaurant and the air conditioning is too chilly for my arms but I dont want to carry a heavier sweater.
