    Womens Slanted Shell Slippers

"Initially, I was inspired by a magazine submission prompt of spring scraps to work on some slanted shell slippers. First, I created some ballet slippers using this stitch pattern, but then I thought the pattern was too beautiful to be so short, and so I rework it creating these with a longer foot covering. I ended even happier with this version, and wear mine around all the time. This pattern includes 9 US Women's Sizes from 4 through 12.5, and uses less than one skein of Red Heart's Super Saver yarn. You can expect to have a pair worked up in about an hour and a half to two hours."

I really like these slippers. Most patterns Ive seen are fairly loose at the top where the foot goes in, but these come all the way up to the ankle. I am trying to make some slippers for several bedridden seniors, and one complaint they have is the sock or slipper coming off under the blankets. This generally means they have to ring for an attendant. Hopefully, this style will cut down on that.

I love this! I hope the designed helped keep there slippers on.
