How do i print patterns

Hi, Crafter 15879. Please click the link above that says "Click here for crochet pattern." A new window should open directing you to the pattern designer's website with the pattern in full. I am also wondering how to make them adult size?

I just started these and already I need help. It isn't very clear how to make them from a child's 7 to an adult 7....how many chains should I add? Also, I got stuck on the first row...what does it mean to work on the opposite side of the starting chain?
