I've been looking at slipper patterns for quite awhile now and these look sufficiently substantial and comfy to boot LOL ) I'm definitely NOT "advanced" so that part has me concerned! I may have to have my crochet sages in my women's group come along side me or even pay one of them to make these up. I love the brown color of this yarn...so earthy and woodsy! I'm not very much of a risk taker though, so I think I'll search out a lighter brown for the sock portion.

These just look comfy. The designer has done a really nice job with these, and Im so glad shes included a link to larger sizes. What Id really like to do is use the top portion and sock and replace the sole part with a flip flop. That way Im not completely restricted to wearing these inside. Im not a fan of the Mary Jane version though. Maybe if it were done in black I might like it better.

These are quite original. The pattern gives instructions for both booties and Mary Janes. So you could make one for everyone in the family whether girl or guy. You could even get creative and make the booties green and the socks red and white stripe for an elf costume for Christmas.

I have been eyeing these for a while now, but the pattern says the size is 14 cm long and 11cm tall. I need to make them in a large man's size. I wonder how using a thicker yarn will alter the appearance of these slippers. Has anyone else here tried? I would love to know how they turned out for you.

I had to go to 3/4 different places to get all the pictures and instructions for this pattern. Difficult and time consuming. Megan's patterns are very, very nice and easy to crochet. She does beautiful work.

I really like the look of these Soccasins, I have tried the written pattern and can't get it to work. Mine looked so odd and nothing like the pictured soccasins. I'm not sure what I have done wrong, but I'll keep trying. I have been crocheting for 30 years now and this will work one way or the other.. Thanks

These are very warm so I just make them for family and friends in the North. The ones here in Florida don't need them. I have found that guys like them done up in brown with black tops or dark blue. For the ladies I like to get creative.

What size are these?

you have just allowed me to open my own Pandora's Box!

How do I get the patterns here? I know there is a place that says to click here to get the pattern, but it will not go to the pattern! How can I get the pattern for the Soccasins? It is a great looking slipper I want the free pattern so I can learn how to do these kind of slipper. ty

this are so cute and warm

Very elegant

Wow. I will have to get my finger out all the fantastic patterns you keep finding that I want to crochet. Linda

I have two Nephews on the way, can't wait to get started! You are very talented. Thank you for sharing.

The answer for larger sizes of the soccasin is located when you click here for pattern. The lady has not created a larger slipper as yet.

Where can I find the instuctions for the adult sizes?

I made these and they are really warm. I have people asking me all the time to make soccasins for them and their family. The best slippers ever.

most interesting and very useful for crochet lovers

momlen Has anyone made this in adult size . I used g hook , increased chain to 29, then counted stitches thru row 6 to increase, after row 11 got lost, love the slipper, but feel I'm wasting my time. Any help would me appreciated

I would like to know too so if you get an answer let me know.

I haven't made them yet but soon ,like the self cuff

I'm confused too. What size shoe is it for because 14cm is about 6 ins. I need 10 1/2 ins. Or is it child size??

It's a slipper not a sock. Larger sizes have not been created yet so it's a trial and error on our own.

how do u get answers to questions from this site????

momlen Love the patttern, but quite confusing , need larger sizes and conversions to inches

I have made something similar to this pattern by Red Heart. It wasn't a handy looking, and the other pattern. With the other pattern, the biggest complain from my friends and family were that the Red Heart pattern for slippers, did not have a cuff to stay on their feet! This is a wonderful solution. I want to add it to my folder so I can refer to it again, when I am able to print it soon.

Cool pattern!

Cool pattern!

soccassins, they are very cute

Fabulous! I can hardly wait for the adult instructions! At the "Young" age of 75 don't think I can figure out the adult size.... or maybe just too lazy! ) I've crocheted for 60 years!....Yes, I think it is lazy!br br I am making these for my 6 Great grandchildren for "stocking stuffers" or maybe this will be the "stocking" and I will add some "goodies"! I like that idea! I would love to make these for my adult GrandChildren (9) and 4 "children" (all in 50) in their favorite team colors. IE Illinois, Packers, Rams, etc., etc.) Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us "crafters"! br

I have hit a snag. Finished the soccasin slipper but unable to understand directions for putting on the cuff. Can you help me

These are so adorable. I just love them

need table for size and needle conversion to adjust sizes to be made.

These are really cute Megan! I can't wait to make tham for my daughter AND myself!

Really love the look of the soccasins. I liked the enbedded tutorial of the slip stitch. How unique. This is a stitch I will be using in other projects, also. Thank you. I will definately, be playing with this pattern.

I had no problems, printed out the pattern and also printed out Megans' comments.

Toooo Cute!! I am gonna make some of these for my mom and mother in law,she broke her ankle a couple of months ago and she could really use something comfy, thanks for sharing.

Hello fellow crafty people I'm the designer Megan When you get to the pattern page there is another link to the written instructions It says The pattern is available here in the blurb to the pattern and the word 'here' is bold blue and underlined - that's the link I haven't made adult sizes yet but here is what I tell people in the meantime To vary the size I recommend that first of all you make one small one in any old yarn just to learn how the instructions create the structure Even better make it in the yarn you intend to use for the larger size to better estimate how many more stitches and rows rounds are needed to get from the little size to the bigger To make them longer make the starting chain longer and do some more rounds increasing at heel and toe to keep themRead More flat on the soles Do more rounds up the sides to make them come higher for the larger foot and then you will also find that your instep section is necessarily wider and goes on for more rows just want you want Putting on the cuff is a matter of winging it but should be quite easy once you've understood the principle from the little one For the sock do more starting chain to make the sock longer and then follow the same method as for the smaller size It will take more rows to go around but that's just what you want because it has to go around a bigger ankle Bear in mind that you want to wear them a little snug on your feet sloppy slippers are not comfortable so work on the basis of a little negative ease I hope that helps all of you who want these for adults and older children Kind regards Megan

Megan Thank you for your comment on possibly how to make these bootie larger, I don't quite understand how this works and when I started making them I was not aware they were for children. Is there anyway at all you could give a pattern in print for the larger size. I love the style of them and really hate to waste the $15 that I spent for yarn to make them. I am a 9 1/2 shoe. Maybe for this pattern's name you might add for children some how. Again Megan I love this pattern. Thank you so much Connie Elliott

It came up for me, there is another link on the picture page that comes up.

I can't get the pattern to come up! Keeps telling me it can't find the site - anybody else having that problem?

Looks something that I will try for myself and put some intersoles in them for foot comfort.

I really like these but I want to make adult ones. Can I be notified when you make the changes for the sizes. Thanks.

I like these but I'm allergic to wool can I use reg. worsted weight yarn? and I also would like an adult size. Thanks, Crochet mom

these are tiny. I used worsted weight yarn and a G hook and got a child size. I need sizes for adults. Can someone tell me how to get them larger? Thanks

I've seen a pattern like this that was knit, I don't knit, and really wanted it. Thanks for the pattern! Can't wait to try it! xoxo LeAnn
