Silverwood Sideways Shawl

"Today’s free crochet pattern is the Silverwood Sideways Shawl, this is a filet crochet pattern which only uses chain stitches and double crochet stitches, this is such a simple filet crochet design with wide open spaces and blocks of double crochet stitches to break it up. The Silverwood Sideways Shawl is very similar to the Hew Sideways Shawl which also has the wide open spaces but with this one i doubled up on the chain spaces to make it slightly different. This is very much a beginner crochet pattern as it’s very simple to follow but if you would prefer to have a photo tutorial it is included in the paid pattern. I worked my shawl using Cascade 220 Aran in the color Calla Green and i think it really shows up those beautiful stitches which is perfect to wear to weddings or even just on a Summer’s evening."
