Silk Mohair Shawlette
Make this beautiful Silk Mohair Shawlette in a bright purple color yarn, or feel free to use any color of your choice. The free crochet pattern begins at the center back neck and is worked in rows down to the lower edge using single crochet and double crochet stitches. It's an intermediate pattern to crochet using just 2 balls of Lion Brand Silk Mohair Yarn. The light and lacy design of this crochet shawl pattern makes it a wonderful layering piece for any season.

GAUGE:
10 sts + 6 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Shawlette begins at center back neck and is worked in rows down to lower edge.

Patterns like this are beautiful and I often end up using the pattern design on other items in the future. I started this shawl as soon as I saw it today as I already had the appropriate mohair yarn. My intention is to make it larger so that it is more of a shawl rather than a shawlette and with a 5,5mm hook it is working up quite quickly and already looks very pretty.
