This "Faux Knit" Slouchy Hat is made with Tunisian Crochet. This should be more clearly stated in the description. It's a different technique from standard crocheting that folks will need to learn if they don't already know it! Luckily, the person who owns the web site this pattern is on has tutorials on how to crochet Tunisian style.
