I would not even call this a poncho I would call this a top! It is cool beyond words! Anybody else think that this is the prefect top to wear on a cruise? The way it is pieced together makes sense to me. And those huge, wide sleeves are really in fashion right now.

I'm about halfway done this, and it's going well, but it's quite small...I'm hoping the blocking takes care of that. I used a yarn with spring colors. Why is everyone trying to change the name?!

Here's how far I got before I ran out of my 5 balls of yarn. The directions for sewing it together don't make sense so I went by the pic and sort of tetris-ed it until it made sense. Also, according to the pic, the pieces are sewn together right side facing. The other arm will go along the open end at the bottom. I'm going to add a shell or shell/picot border to finish it off a little more nicely. Can't wait!

Wow, I just love everything about this poncho! It is so beautifully light and floaty looking, the Red Heart Spring Stripe yarn colors are so beautiful. I really like that it can be used to smarten up an outfit or just casually with jeans and a T-shirt and I really can see myself wearing it on a lovely Spring day, lol!

This is a beautiful and very colorful poncho. Love the lightweight heart and sole yarn by Red Heart. Red Heart has a great variety of colors to choose from. Great job mariammsmith9345201 for naming this project. It suits this shawl perfectly. I love that it is a light weight poncho / shawl that can be worn during the warmer time of the year.

#BestIdeaEver Love this pattern but it may be a while before I make it. Crocheting and hour a day has taken the place of reading an hour a day for a while. Plan on saving this pattern until time allows the creation of the tunic. Have fun, be happy and laugh often. I should add be creative.

This is a very lightweight poncho appropriate for the hot summer months. It helps that the pattern is just right on the same page.

Has anyone made this poncho to a happy ending? Could you share some of your tips with those of us who are a little overwhelmed by the confusing directions in the pattern?

I agree, this is so stylish and trendy. Perfect for summer and spring because of the colors. Thank for the pattern which is just right in front. We don't have to go to some link or website for it.

I am not understanding the second half of the sleeve. Is their going to be a total of 82 rows on the sleeves? It will be twice the length of the center panels? Help please.

I'm still working on it, but yes, it seems that the second half of the sleeve is done starting from the bottom of the first row, kind of like a mirror image.

When there is a hyphen and then information. Is this instructions or is this a summary of that line. I believe it means in the case below single crochet in the last 5 double crochets, single crochet in the last 17 single crochets and single crochet in the 8 chain 5 spaces. Is this correct? Row 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in first 5 (10, 15) dc, [ch 5, sc in next sc, ch 5, sc in center dc of next sh] 3 times, ch 5, sc in next sc, ch 5, skip next 2 dc, sc in last 5 (10, 15) dc 17 (27, 37) sc, 8 ch-5 spaces.

I think this poncho/Serape should be called Happy, Joyous & Free. It is such a beautiful pattern, especially with the shaping in the neckline. Make it longer to give the look of a Mexican Serape or adjust to any other length to give it the look that is just right for your style. I really really love this !!!!
