This Monday Blues Shawl is simple enough to be worn in the day time but dressy enough to be worn during dinner or a night out. The designer had good taste when she thought of using the various rich tones of blue for this type of scarf. Suitable to use for this project is a soft type of yarn.

The pattern is so pretty and yet it is so easy. Made with just single crochets, double crochets, and half-double crochets and in back loops only to achieve that ribbed look. I did not read what type of yarn is recommended, but I think, off the top of my head, I would use Red Heart Boutique for sure.I love the look that a triangle piece gives when wrapped casually around the neck. I love this pattern!

This looks easy enough. I have been looking for a shawl/wrap pattern to use for my niece's wedding. It's going to be outside in August so I'm looking for something to help me not get sunburn. Plus I'm sure the a/c is going to be on inside the building for the reception and I don't want to freeze. I've not had much luck with the yarn I've chosen but I think this pattern will work!
