Fisherman's Wharf Crochet Shawl
"The Fisherman's Wharf Crochet Shawl is a short row shawl with a video guide to help you whip up your very own. During the testing of this shawl, I really enjoyed seeing all the yarn choices and colors. Feel free to get creative with your color choices! FISHERMAN'S WHARF CROCHET SHAWL STORY One day while organizing my stash, I came across a basket full of WeCrochet Palette Yarn. It's like I found a long lost friend and it was just begging to come out of the basket. The balls of yarn were just sitting on my desk and waiting for inspiration. Of course, time passed and then I cleared it off my desk but as I was doing so some of the colors spoke to me. The shades and tones of the blues and sand tones remind me of a summer in Martha's Vineyard. When I was 18 I was a nanny in San Franciso. That summer in the city still holds so many fond memories. But I also traveled with my nanny family to their family home on Martha's Vineyard. It was the first time I saw the north east beach life. So much was different from the East Coast, but in a wonderful way. There was a restaurant right by a wharf full of boats. It was so quaint and the decor was a muted shade of blue and tans with fishnets hanging on the walls. It's interested how these tones of yarn sitting together sparked a memory from so many years ago. I knew I wanted to incorporate all of these elements, a fishing net, the blue decor and ocean, and the sandy beaches, all together in one design. "
