I'm starting to notice that there are some errors in the pattern as I'm working, and I'm trying to fix them as I work on this shawl.

One reason I dont like making shawls is the potential weight. Unless you use very fine fingering or baby yarn, you could end up with an unwieldy project. This shawl takes care of those concerns since its so open textured. Only about half as much yarn as usual is necessary to complete this project, so a medium #4 yarn is fine. This Easy pattern is available in Adult size, but a child sized version would be welcomed, too.

This crochet pattern uses a fine gauge yarn for ultimate drape-ability. The lovely pink rose is such a pretty addition. I think she really was going for an authentic Belle cape here. You could even use this for a Halloween costume, I would think. I like the second styling choice- the sideways and slightly off the shoulder look. Versatile!

This is a very pretty shawl. Instructions look easy enough to follow along. Looks like possible a project that will take a couple of days depending on how much free time I get to work on it. Even though it really doesnt have any connection to the Beauty and the Beast, it is a very pretty shawl all on its own and the pink rose embellishment sets it off nicely.
