    Angel Cakes Shawl

"Created with only simple single crochet and chain stitches, this beautiful lacy design is easy enough for beginners! Between color choices, an optional edging, and many ways to wear, the possibilities are endless with this shawl. The version shown was created with less than one skein of Caron Cakes, but the pattern is easy to continue to use up your whole Cake for a fuller shawl. Follow along with a photo tutorial if needed, or more advanced crocheters can skip to the abbreviated written directions."

NotesPattern size is best increased by adding more rows. Adding more multiples to the beginning of the pattern causes the shape to curl.

What a lovely shawl. I prefer an open pattern like this before it is easier to drape and tie as you an see from the photos. I like the way the pattern is written with the photos and shows a different technique which is always good to learn. This pattern is also a good stash buster but I will probably buy the yarn they mention since I have that yarn on my "to buy" list. Thank you.

I've had a ball of Caron Cakes in my stach for awhile now, not sure what to do with it. Now I know! Thank you for this Angel Cakes Shawl pattern, this is well written and easy to follow. I love the airing of this shawl, it will great for summer. I'm looking forward to making this one to use on a warm day. Thank you again for sharing this free crochet shawl pattern.
