Speedy Rick Rack Pumpkin
"The Rick Rack Pumpkin works up fast and is a great addition to your Fall or Halloween decorations. It uses a wine cork as a stem to make a little sassy as well. The rick rack stitch is fun and versatile, and this pattern teaches you how to both increase and decrease in the stitch. This pattern is accompanied by a video tutorial, guiding you through them whole process. I'm sure that once you learn the stitch, you will enjoy it."

What a clever design! I do have a question about the yarn though. This is basically JoAnns house brand of yarn, and it looks a lot thicker than the usual worsted. I havent noticed a Bulky version. The pattern itself is easy to follow and the designers embedded video is greatly appreciated. I just finished up a bottle of wine (I love burgundy in stews), so I even have a cork handy.

I thought this was a pattern for a rick rack trim/embellishment. Turns out it is actually a crochet stitch patter that is made to look like that classic rick rack gramma probably had on her apron and kitchen curtains. The wine cork added for the stem is an unexpected twist. A thick twig from your yard would work fine, too.
