I have several handled mason jars, and this is the first coozie Ive seen that will actually work for my glasses. Most cosies go well up the glass or can, and with mason jars, the handles go too far down for the cozy to fit properly. This shortened version is just perfect. Just be sure to work them up in cotton so the yarn can absorb the condensation on the outside of the jar.

Perfect crochet project for the upcoming Summer months. I have guests in and out all summer because I live really close to the beach. I like to use mason jars because they are sturdy and if they break, no biggy. I am planning to make these in different colors to be like "markers" so that the owner of the jar will know which one belongs to them.

Not only is this a coozie, it is a coaster. I like to keep coasters on the table but we all know that sometimes they are not used by the guests and I really hate with the family members fail to use them without being told. This will solve the problem, I hope.
