Stay warm and comfortable all year long with this Wise Oak Ribbed Scarf. This crochet scarf pattern is the perfect pattern to make for both men and women. You may use either solid or variegated yarn, but this pattern in particular works especially well for showing off self striping yarns such as Lion Brand Tweed Stripes. Another great feature of this free crochet pattern is that it can easily be made as wide and as long as you prefer.

Ive never worked with the Lion Brand Tweed yarn but this beautiful scarf has me tempted. Im running errands tomorrow afternoon and will stop by my usual yarn supplier. This scarf is worked by crocheting in the FRONT loop of each row. It seems like every other ribbed project has me working in the back loop instead. Theres a nice video that takes you step by step, too.
